Walker Evans was born November 3 ,1903 in St.Louis , Missouri and grew up to become a photographer very well known for photographing the great depression. He photographed poor farming families and their struggle during the great depression. The people in his photographs became the poster children for the Depression Era , in which many families were in poverty and sadness. In 1938 his photographs were put on exhibit in The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Evans died April 10 , 1975 as a well known depression era artist.
