Cunningham was born April 12th 1883 and died June 24th 1976( at age 83). She was known for her photographs of flowers and Industrial landscapes. Her photos were exhibited in Brooklyn Academy of Arts and Science, Rencontres d'Arles festival (in France),Wilson's Photographic Magazine, and Vanity Fair. She was also invited by Ansel Adams for a position in the photography department at Cali. School of Fine Arts.
I like this image because I think the flower is very beautiful and the background makes it look
as if nothing in the photo (Branches) is as important as the flower.
I like this image because it has an effect of being painted when it is actually a photograph.
I like this image because it seems to stop time, I also like the fact that everything in the photo looks
as if the woman didn't even realize that the photograph was being taken.
